HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese boxer Nguyễn Văn Hải will fight China's Lin Liquan for the IBO Asia Pacific belt on June 6.

The men’s lightweight (61kg) bout will be held in Hainan, China

Hải, 31, has won both bouts in his professional career and knocked out Indonesian Iwan Key in the third round in his last fight on May 18.

Hải was  national team member during the Southeast Asian Games in 2013 and 2015 where he won a bronze and silver, respectively.

He is currently one of three best professional boxers in the country.

Lin is a rising star in China. He has won nine times, drew once and lost once in his 11-fight professional career. The 23-year-old holds the IBO Asia Pacific Super Featherweight, IBO Asia Pacific Lightweight and PABA Lightweight belts. — VNS
