HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam will take on the Philippines for the bronze medal in the Southeast Asian Football Federation U15 Women’s Championship in Chonburi, Thailand on May 21.
They lost 0-1 to the hosts in the semi-final on Sunday after captain Chattaya Pratumkul headed home in the first half.
Việt Nam pushed hard for an equaliser with striker Nguyễn Thị Như Quỳnh and her teammates testing Thai keeper Pawarisa Homyamyen. But none of them succeeded.
In the other semi-final a brace from Pe against the Philippines took Laos to the final with a 3-1 win at the Institute of Physical Education Stadium.
Thailand and Laos will also clash on Tuesday for the trophy. — VNS
