HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese martial arts competitors won two medals at the Jujitsu Thailand Open 2017 in Bangkok on Sunday.
Lê Trọng Hoàng topped the podium in the men’s 69kg category while Lê Đình Tiến came third in the men’s 62kg class.
Both two are members of the Hà Nội’s jujitsu department.
The Brazilian sport has recently received strong support to prepare for the coming tournaments including the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games later this year and the Asian Beach Games next year.
The Thailand event was one of key events of Asia which grabbed the attention of many countries who sent their best athletes to sharpen their techniques and watch their main rivals, according to Việt Nam’s coaches from Bangkok. — VNS
