HÀ NỘI — Argentina defeated Việt Nam’s national futsal team 5-2 in their second friendly match in the South American country yesterday (Vietnamese time).

Việt Nam scored two goals in the first half, but in the second half, Vietnamese players’ physical strength quickly declined and they suffered five losses.

Earlier, world No 41 Việt Nam also lost to world No 5 Argentina 1-3.

Today, Việt Nam team will leave for Colombia to take part in the FIFA Futsal World Cup, which will be held from September 10 to October 1. Twenty-four teams are divided into six groups. Việt Nam are in group C with Paraguay, Italy and Guatemala. Việt Nam will meet Guatemala in the first match on September 12. — VNS
