HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won a silver medal at the Southeast Asian U19 Women’s Volleyball Championship which ended in Thailand yesterday.

The Vietnamese team were defeated 16-25, 13-25, 25-19, 20-25 by the powerful hosts in the final match.

Việt Nam, who won against all teams with the same score of 3-0 from the group stage and the semi-final, were the only team who could defeat Thailand by one set in the entire tournament.

Việt Nam will now take part in the Asian U19 Volleyball Championship at the same venue starting from July 23. — VNS
