HÀ NỘI — Wushu prodigy Dương Thúy Vi continued to reinforce her place as one of Việt Nam’s top Wushu athletes during the first day of the National Wushu Championship.

The SEA Games 28 and ASIAD 17 gold medallist’s outstanding performance won her gold in the jianshu (swordsmanship) competition, which took place right after the opening ceremony on Monday in HCM City.

The national championship this year attracted nearly 270 athletes from across the country with traditionally strong teams such as Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng and Vĩnh Phúc. The event is scheduled to last until tomorrow.— VNS
