HÀ NỘI — Hanoi Amigos and Hoài Đức celebrated emphatic wins at the Hanoi Open Cup (HOC) 2024 powered by FPT basketball tournament on December 17 in Hà Nội.

Hanoi Amigos stole the limelight in the men's final match against Scorpious at the Hà Nội Indoor Athletics Complex.

The defending champions, with duo Tài Phan and Quốc Đinh, dazzling on court, took the lead from the beginning of the match and rapidly extended the point gap.

Scorpious Basketball Club, in spite of their best efforts, could not resist the Amigos' storm attacks and accepted a humiliating 63-33 defeat.

ASA Timberwolves and Air Force-Air Defense Peak shared third place.

Earlier, U18 Hoài Đức defeated Fudo 46-42 to lift the cup in the women's category.

“The championship title is a deserved award for what we have done before and during the tournament," said Nguyễn Hoàng Vân San of Hoài Đức Club.

"Our rivals were strong and they beat us in the group round. I am still shaking when thinking about the game as there were some moments that Fudo nearly caught us up, but we did a good job and claimed the trophy."

Whales and Hanoi Amigos took the bronze medals.

Tài Phan and Ngọc Ánh were voted the men's and women's MVP, respectively, of the 2024 season.
