The People’s Committee in Mekong Delta Province of An Giang has instructed local authorities and agencies to take preventive measures against Chikungunya, a mosquito-borne viral disease, following two cases that tested positive for the virus in the province.  

The health ministry’s inspectorate has ordered local health departments of central-level provinces and cities to strengthen inspections on healthcare services during the new year holiday.

Along with the Hà Nội airport project, the authority also added the Cao Bằng airport project in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bằng.
