VĨNH PHÚC — More than 160 health workers have been sent to Bình Xuyên District, northern Vĩnh Phúc Province, to help with the fight against the acute respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus (COVID-19), the provincial Health Department said.
They have been trained in screening, diagnosis and prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic to help health workers and residents in Bình Xuyên District, which is the hotspot of COVID-19, improve its ability to prevent and fight the disease.
They will work round-the-clock from February 13, assisting in zoning off high-risk areas and environmental hygiene, as well as medical treatment.
On Thursday, the province had confirmed 11 cases, including nine in Bình Xuyên District.
From February 13, the province has zoned off and quarantined affected areas in Sơn Lôi Commune, Bình Xuyên District, for 20 days.
Eight stations will be set up on roads to and from Sơn Lôi Commune to prevent the virus from spreading. — VNS
