HÀ NỘI — All six Vietnamese students participating in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) 2023 won prizes, including four silver medals and two bronze medals, according to the Ministry of Education and Training.
With six medals, Việt Nam ranked ninth among the 36 participating countries and territories at the event this year.
The silver medalists were Nguyễn Đức Thắng, an 11th grader from the Hùng Vương High School for Gifted Students in northern Phú Thọ Province; Nguyễn Ngọc Đăng Khoa, Trần Xuân Bách and Phạm Công Minh, 11th and 12th graders from the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences under the Việt Nam National University, Hà Nội (VNU).
Two contestants won bronze medals, including Lê Ngọc Bảo Anh, a 12th-grade student from Lê Quý Đôn High School for Gifted Students in Đà Nẵng City and Trần Vinh Khánh, a 12th-grade student from the High School in Quảng Trị Town, Quảng Trị central province.
