QUẢNG NINH - Quảng Ninh Province’s Fatherland Front committees at all levels actively and creatively implemented tasks, and achieved high results which were recognised and appreciated by the Party, provincial authorities and people in 2022.
Nguyễn Văn Hồi, Head of the Quảng Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Sub-commission and also Chairman of the province’s Fatherland Front committee, reported the results of the implementation of the provincial Front's tasks in 2022.
The provincial activities have been carried out as part of programmes launched by the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, an umbrella grouping of socio-political organisations in the country and Vietnamese overseas for mass mobilisation, participation in and supervision of most political processes.
The highlight was the implementation of the campaign "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and a civilised city", which was associated with the accomplishment of the province's goal of building new-style rural areas in 2022, Hồi said.
The province's Fatherland Front committees at all levels have mobilised financial resources with a total value of VNĐ38.1 billion to support localities in building new-style rural areas.
2022 was the first year the provincial Fatherland Front committee has coordinated with member organisations to register with the provincial Party Committee to take care of the Lunar New Year holiday for poor and disadvantaged households (over 210,400 gifts worth VNĐ99.8 billion).
All funding came from the contributions of social organisations and individuals, not using the State budget.
The Great National Solidarity Day of 2022 was organised throughout the province to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quảng Ninh Province and the launch of a new model of the campaign "All people unite to build new-style rural areas and civilised city" in the period of 2021-25.
On this occasion, there were 521 models launched at residential areas and 279 houses granted to poor and disadvantaged families.
At a meeting with the delegation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee led by Lê Tiến Châu, member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman-General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, in early December, Quảng Ninh officials discussed many ideas to improve the quality of the front’s works at all levels in the coming period.
Lê Tiến Châu acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results of the province's Fatherland Front Committee, affirming that Quảng Ninh was really a bright spot in the implementation of action programmes of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, contributing to the Front's success across the country in 2022.
