QUẢNG NINH — Enterprises and co-operatives in Quảng Ninh Province are ready and prepared with an abundant supply of goods for the Tết (Lunar New Year) festival.

Cao Hồng Vân, chairwoman of the Newstar One Member Co Ltd, said that her company had two main one commune one product (OCOP) goods, Vân Đồn fish sauce and Phú Trang shrimp salt.

The two products are ranked as four-star in Quảng Ninh Province, and are well-known by local residents and enterprises.

During holidays and festivals, Vân Đồn fish sauce is bought in vast amounts.

This year, the company has already prepared more than 100,000 portions.

OCOP yellow flower tea of the Quy Hoa Trade, Service, Import and Export Co Ltd in Hải Hà District is also regarded as one of the main OCOP goods for Tết.

The company strives to bring the best products to the market.

Director Lê Mạnh Quy said that the Quy Hoa yellow flower tea was made by cold-drying technology on modern machines, ensuring good quality and appearance.

“We always preserve the rare yellow flower tea source, develop high-quality products and commit to bring the best products to customers,” he said.

This year, the company expects to sell about 20,000 items.

Quảng Ninh Province has 267 OCOP products, of which 193 are rated as three-star, 68 products four-star and three products five-star at provincial level whereas three others reached five-star at national level.

Many OCOP goods are typical for Tết holiday, such as traditional liquor, lean pork paste and vermicelli made from cassava.

All of the OCOP products are certified to ensure food safety and hygiene, with clear origins and have confirmed their position in the domestic market.

A representative from the Go! Hạ Long Supermarket said that all of necessary goods for Tết were available on the market’s shelves, including 13 OCOP products from Quảng Ninh Province.

Many products have created attention and become indispensable for consumers and been purchased in great amounts such as vermicelli of Bình Liêu, fish sauce and Quang Hanh mineral water.

To ensure sources of goods for Lunar New Year festival, the supermarket will work with OCOP enterprises and regularly add more goods to be ready to serve customers. — VNS
