HCM CITY — Borderless.lgbt, the first health-care service for LGBT, was set up in HCM City on Tuesday.

Working as a comprehensive healthcare programme, Borderless.lgbt has been built by Vietnamese-American doctor Wayne Ho and experts from Borderless.lgbt from the US, Australia, UK, and Canada.

The Borderless platform operates in two forms: online clinics in conjunction with local doctors and clinics, and home clinics that support the home care needs of LGBT patients.

Currently, the Borderless platform works with more than 10 private clinics across the country.

"We hope to transform the landscape of LGBT healthcare delivery from a basic accessibility model to a knowledge-based model which will allow global experts to collaborate with local doctors to augment the local LGBT care in Việt Nam with international perspective and recommendations, delivered seamlessly through our clinic-of-the-future premises and in the home," said Dr. Wayne Ho.

The main content that the Borderless expert network will update to doctors and experts in Việt Nam includes training about the culture and lifestyle of the LGBT community in the world and in Asia, and building trust with patients, especially with those who are afraid to reveal their true needs.

Borderless also offers comprehensive sexual health programmes incorporating the latest medical guidelines from around the world.

Other testing and treatments will also be provided. — VNS
