HÀ NỘI — The health ministry announced 54,995 new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday.
Hà Nội continued to lead the daily total with 5,199 cases reported.

Việt Nam’s total COVID caseload now stands at 9,922,040, ranking 12th among 227 countries worldwide.
A total of 303,455 COVID patients were given the all-clear, bringing the total number of recoveries to 8,147,290 since the start of the pandemic.
2,055 patients nationwide are seriously ill with the virus, including two on life support.
There were 39 COVID-related deaths recorded, putting the total fatalities nationwide at 42,681, or 0.4 per cent of infections.
