NA Standing Committee concludes 33rd session

The 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee wrapped up yesterday after nine days of work.

HÀ NỘI – The 33rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee wrapped up yesterday after nine days of work.

Addressing the closing ceremony, NA Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân said the NA Standing Committee has completed all items on the working agenda and adjusted a number of contents.

Ngân suggested the Government, the NA’s committees and the NA Secretary General work with relevant agencies and organisations to acquire opinions put forth at the session, finalise reports and projects, and complete approved draft resolutions for signing.

The NA Secretary General would continue studying and completing the contents of the 7th plenary session of the National Assembly, which is expected to open on May 20 and last until June 13. They would be sent to NA deputies for opinions as regulated.

Ngân said the 34th session of the NA Standing Committee was scheduled to start on May 8, focusing on reviewing the outcomes of the NA’s 33th session and giving preliminary opinions on preparations for the next session of the legislature.

She required relevant agencies and organisations to promptly prepare quality bills to submit to the NA Standing Committee for consideration.

She also asked the Government, the ministries and sectors to work with the NA’s Council for Ethnic Affairs and the NA’s committees to complete the contents to submit to the NA.

On the same day, the NA Standing Committee discussed the report on the implementation of policies and laws on planning, management and land use in urban areas since the Land Law was valid since 2013 until the end of 2018. – VNS
