HÀ NỘI – The Prime Minister has decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Phạm Hồng Hải.
Hải was given the disciplinary measure for his violations during the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 tenures.
Previously, he was disciplined by the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Việt Nam Central Committee.
According to the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, Hải must take responsibility for violations of the ministry’s Party Committee during his tenure.
The deputy minister failed to seriously implement the principles of the Party, violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations and showed a lack of responsibility. He relaxed its leadership, management, inspection and monitoring.
His acts resulted in the Ministry of Information and Communication and MobiFone Telecommunication Corporation seriously infringing upon regulations for conducting their project, resulting in huge losses to the State budget.
Hải also signed unlawful documents relating to a project between Mobifone and AVG Audiovisual JSC. – VNS
