HÀ NỘI — Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has urged Germany, especially Rheinland-Pfalz state, to further boost investment with Việt Nam to further lift two-way trade.

Meeting with the Rheinland-Pflaz Deputy Minister-President and Minister for Economic Affairs, Transportation, Agriculture and Viticulture Volker Wissing in Hà Nội yesterday, the PM assured his guest that the Vietnamese government always offers all possible support to German localities and firms to do business in the country.

He affirmed that the Vietnamese government supports strengthening ties between Vietnamese and Rheinland-Pflaz corporations and asked for reinforcing people-to-people exchange and tourism co-operation on the back of existing potential and advantages.

The host believes that Rheinland-Pfalz state will play an important role in reinforcing the multifaceted co-operation between the two countries in the future.

Wissing, for his part, said the delegation was accompanied by local corporate representatives to seek co-operation opportunities in economy, culture and education in Việt Nam.

The state wanted to promote joint work with Vietnamese localities and businesses, including the exchange of traditional goods, he said.

He suggested further stepping up cultural and educational ties with Việt Nam and expressed his belief that both sides will reap more successes in the near future. — VNS
