HÀ NỘI — Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad are eligible to compete for the third Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award, said Phạm Minh Chính, Politburo member and head of party central committee on organisation, during a press conference yesterday in Hà Nội.
The award aims to recognise outstanding works in disseminating information and promoting understanding about the Party’s policies and Party building work.
“I wish the media will continue to support the Party in its quest to strengthen its foundation and improve transparency,” Chính said.
Entries to the contest must have appeared in print or on radio or TV programmes between November 1, 2017 and October 31, 2018. For the first time, this year’s awards will allow even entries that already won different awards to compete, which were barred from entering in previous competitions. — VNS
