HÀ NỘI — Receiving a Korean official, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc stressed that the Vietnamese Government strives to provide good conditions for foreign investors, including those from the Republic of Korea (RoK).
Park Shin Won, former Governor of the RoK’s Osan City, visited Hà Nội on Tuesday and was welcomed by PM Phúc. He gave high estimations to Park’s dedicated efforts to promoting investment and cooperative activities with Vietnamese localities, especially the central province of Quảng Nam. He noted that the efforts have strengthened the strategic partnership between the RoK and Việt Nam.
The Government leader expressed his delight at the two countries’ growing cooperation over the past 25 years. He praised the presence and efficient operation of big RoK groups in Việt Nam.
He spoke highly of the cooperation between Quảng Nam Province and Osan City, which formed an official friendship and cooperative relations in 2004. He expressed his wish that both would press ahead with cooperative projects and expand their collaboration in all fields.
Park informed his host of the productive visit to Việt Nam and said RoK businesses highly valued the Vietnamese Government’s determination to eliminate bottlenecks in business and production of businesses, including those that affect FDI.
He said the Korean businesses hoped that the Government would continue fine-tuning policies and mechanisms to enable them and other foreign countries to expand production and do more for Việt Nam’s socio-economic growth. — VNS
