HÀ NỘI – Việt Nam hopes all parties involved in the diplomatic tensions between Qatar and some Persian Gulf states will set up a dialogue soon to seek measures to ensure interests of all sides, contributing to peace and stability in the region.

Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Lê Thị Thu Hằng said this at a press briefing yesterday.

She said Việt Nam shares sound relations with Middle Eastern countries and members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in particular.

She also said that Việt Nam strongly condemned the twin terrorist attacks in Iran on Wednesday. All terrorist actions in any form must be strictly punished, she said.

“We offer our condolences to the State, Government and people of Iran as well as families of the victims,” Hằng said.
