HÀ NỘI Viet Nam News - — National Assembly deputies voted to relieve the Vice State President, the Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of their posts during the 13 th NA’s last meeting in Hanoi on April 7.
As many as 458 lawmakers or 92.71 percent of the total consented to dismiss Vice President Nguyễn Thị Doan from her post.
Meanwhile, Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court Trương Hòa Bình will leave his office with 471 approval votes, equivalent to 95.34 percent of the total NA deputies.

Nguyễn Hòa Bình will also step down from the position as Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy with 472 ‘yes’ votes or 92.55 percent of the total.
The relief of the positions was conducted in the form of secret ballot.
Later, the lawmakers voted on draft resolutions on the dismissal of these posts presented by the NA’s Secretary General Nguyễn Hạnh Phúc.
Accordingly, 450 (91.09 percent) approved the resolution on the relief of Vice President Nguyễn ThỊ Doan, 452 (91.50 percent) adopted the resolution on the dismissal of Chief Judge Trương Hòa Bình and 447 (90.49 percent) were unanimous on the resolution on relieving Prosecutor General Nguyễn Hòa Bình of his duty.

The last two resolutions will take effect from the date when the NA elects a new Chief Judge and a new Prosecutor General.
During the afternoon session, President Trần Đại Quang presented proposals for the posts of the Vice President, the Chief Judge and the Prosecutor General.
Đặng Thị Ngọc Thịnh, a member of the Party Central Committee, deputy chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office and a deputy of the 13 th legislature, was nominated as Vice President.
Nguyễn Hòa Binh, Secretary of the 12 th Party Central Committee and a deputy of the 13 th NA, was nominated as Chief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court.

Lê Minh Trí, a member of the 12 th Party Central Committee and deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, was nominated as Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy.
The legislators then discussed in groups the list of nominees for the posts.
Results of the election for the positions will be announced in the morning session on April 8. — VNA /VNS
