PM Chính meets leaders of Japan's Communist and Komeito Party's in official visit

HÀ NỘI – Prime Minister (PM) Phạm Minh Chính met the leaders of the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) and the Komeito Party on Wednesday, as part of his official visit to Japan.

In his meeting with JCP Chairman Shii Kazuo, PM Phạm Minh Chính informed Kazuo on the success of the Việt Nam Communist Party’s 13th National Congress, which defined the future roadmap and concrete measures for the country’s development, setting the goal of becoming a developing country of upper-middle-income by 2030, and a developed country of high income by 2045.

PM Chính also expressed his appreciation towards the JCP’s achievements, particularly on successfully hosting their 28th party congress.

He also requested that the JCP continue to support and reinforce cooperation and diplomatic relations between the two communist parties, as well as between the two countries.

The JCP Chairman extended his appreciation and welcomed PM Chính to Japan, believing the visit would further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations in all aspects.

At the meeting with Komeito Party Chief Yamaguchi Natsuo on the same day, PM Phạm Minh Chính congratulated the party on their recent election.

He also thanked Komeito for their valuable contributions as a ruling coalition party to the development and consolidation of Vietnamese – Japanese cooperative relations.

The PM also suggested that the two parties collaborate and discuss experience in administration, management, education, human resource training, transportation, resources, and tourism.

Party Chief Yamaguchi Natsuo affirmed that Komeito has been and would continue to support strengthening bilateral relations, strengthening cooperation in regional and global forums, and supporting Vietnamese people living in Japan. — VNS
