Thăng Long Royal Citadel hosts Heritage Day celebration

Việt Nam Heritage Day will be celebrated today at the Thăng Long Royal Citadel, 19C Hoàng Diệu Street, Hà Nội, free entrance.

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Heritage Day was celebrated on Friday at Thăng Long Royal Citadel, 19C Hoàng Diệu Street, Hà Nội.

It’s a chance for local people and tourists to enjoy various cultural activities such as water puppetry, tug-of-war and calligraphy exhibition, all at a free entrance event.

On the occasion, traditional musical will be performed such as quan họ (Bắc Ninh Province’s love duets), chèo (traditional operetta) and folk singing of the ethnic groups of Tày, Thái and Nùng.

The performances will feature troupes from different provinces and cities, creating a chance for the artists to exchange.

The event is organised by the Việt Nam Federation of UNESCO Associations and Hemera Media Company to promote the culture and tourism of different regions. — VNS
