A book fair that will open next week aims to encourage and firm up reading habits, especially among children and young people, authorities say.

The Nobel Committee sent a letter to the Việt Nam Writers Association asking, asking them to nominate a Vietnamese writer to be considered for the 2022 Nobel Prize for Literature. This is the first time the association has received such a request. 

A new TV show called Trăm Năm Ánh Việt (A Hundred Years of Cải Lương) is being broadcast on the Vĩnh Long Television and Radio Station (THVL).

A culture and tourism week is scheduled to take place in the northern mountainous province of Lai Châu from April 14 -17.
