HÀ NỘI — Berlin-based sound artist, composer and experimental turntablist Ignaz Schick will meet several Vietnamese performers, musicians and composers who are, according to him, from the “highly unique Vietnamese experimental music scene”.

His Hanoi Meeting will take place on Sunday at Goethe Institute and present an agenda of rehearsals, discussions and performances including both compositions and improvisations by invited participants.

Vietnamese artists joining the event include Nguyễn Thủy Dũng (zither), Nguyễn Thu Thủy (pipa), Phạm Thị Tâm (objects), Nguyễn Thị Thu Hương (objects), Nguyễn Hải Duy (electronics), Kim Ngọc Trần (voice), Ngô Trà My (monochord), Nguyễn Xuân Sơn (percussion), Giang Hồng Nguyễn (live-electronics) and Vũ Nhật Tân (piano).

The free entry event will start at 8pm. The Goethe Institute is at 56-58 Nguyễn Thái Học Street. — VNS
