Spanish musicians to perform in capital

HÀ NỘI — Spanish conductor David Gómez Ramírez, lead conductor of the Lira Saguntina Symphonic Orchestra and Choir, has returned to Hà Nội for a concert titled Nights in the Gardens of Spain.

Together with Spanish pianist Mario Mora, a rising talent on the Spanish musical scene, and the Hà Nội Philharmonic Orchestra, Ramírez will take the audience on a musical journey from the gardens of Andalusia to the mountains of Sa Pa through a repertoire featuring classics by Manuel de Falla and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, as well as selected pieces of Vietnamese ethnic folk music.

The concert will take place next Friday (October 7) at the Grand Concert Hall of the Việt Nam National Academy of Music at 8pm. — VNS
