HÀ NỘI — Tonight, the Delegation of the European Union to Việt Nam has collaborated with French culture centre L’Espace to organise Gala Euro - a special event to welcome the world’s second most popular football event, which is held every four years.

The gala, which will take place at L’Espace, 24 Tràng Tiền Street, will feature a special fashion performance, presenting a collection inspired by football and created by Hà Nội-based Spanish brand Chula. Following, a special screening of the movie Looking for Eric, starring the world-famous footballer Eric Cantona, will be shown.

Also on the night, the EU Delegation will announce the winner of an online Euro 2016 competition which was launched earlier.

On Saturday, the EU Delegation will also host a friendly football match involving the Head of the EU Delegation, Bruno Angelet, French Ambassador Jean-Noel Poirier, and other diplomats from European embassies and Viet Nam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Vietnamese footballer Thạch Bảo Khanh and naturalised footballer Danny van Bakel will also play in the match.
