VinGallery will host a Spring Art Market at Snap Café on April 2, offering paintings, photography, handmade jewellery, clothing, accessories, sculpture and homemade houseware.

There will also be a pop-up workshop for both adults and children throughout the day, as well as a lucky draw to win creative products.

The market will open from 10 am to 4 pm at 32 Trần Ngọc Diện Street in District 2.

Electronic music concert features international artists

A concert titled House of Bar – Reunion will be held at Cargo Bar on April 1.

The event will feature DJs Mike Ruth of California who plays underground music on vinyl and CDs, and Louis Riesterer from Switzerland whose music ranges from rock to techno and house, and Carlitos Steinbach from Sweden who performs in several countries.

The show will begin at 10 pm at 7 Nguyễn Tất Thành Street. Tickets are VNĐ100,000.

UK choreographer performs in HCM City

The acclaimed British choreographer Aakash Odedra will perform solo pieces of Murmur 2.0 and Nritta with the support of the HCM City Ballet Symphony and Orchestra (HBSO) at the HCM City Opera House on March 26.

The performance is part of the British Council’s work in showcasing the best of British contemporary dance in Việt Nam.

Trained in classical Indian dance style of Kathak, Odedra was mentored by Akram Khan who helped him develop the contemporary movement. In 2011 he formed Aakash Odedra Dance Company and since then has created his own choreographic works. He has received numerous awards and bursaries including a Sky Academy Arts Scholarship.

The performance will begin at 8 pm at 7 Lam Sơn Square in District 1. Tickets priced from VNĐ200,000-500,000 are available at the venue and at www.ticketbox.vn.

French singer featured at Saigon Reggae Festival

Internationally acclaimed reggae dub singer Don Camilo from France will be an honoured guest of the fourth Saigon Reggae Festival at Cargo Event Space on March 26.

Eight hours of non-stop reggae music will include local and international DJs and artists Jase Nguyen, Slowbirds, 8U8A, Morgan, Sonar Lee, Ivy Phi, Adrienne Mack-Davis and Feleciacruz.

Activities include wall painting, henna tattoo, face painting, and a food corner featuring international dishes.
