HÀ NỘI — The national archive departments of Việt Nam and Indonesia will collaborate in collecting documents, sharing experience in preservation and training, following an MoU signed between two sides on Monday in Hà Nội.

Accordingly, the two departments will jointly host exhibitions, release publications about heritage and culture of the two nations, exchange copies of archival documents on topics of mutual concern, facilitate visits by experts to share professional experience, among others.

They will enhance co-operation in training human resources and digitalising documents.

Đặng Thanh Tùng, director of the State Records Management and Archives of Việt Nam said it’s part of activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of President Hồ Chí Minh’s historic visit to Indonesia and President Sukarno’s visit to Việt Nam, towards the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

“The co-operation contributes to strengthening the extensive comprehensive partnership between the two nations and marking an important milestone in archival cooperation between the two agencies,” he said. — VNS
