Exhibition on women during the wars opens

More than 50 sketches of women during the wars by 29 noted painters will be displayed between May 14 and 28 at the Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum.

HÀ NỘI — More than 50 sketches of women during the wars by 29 noted painters will be displayed between May 14 and 28 at the Việt Nam Fine Arts Museum.

The sketches portray vivid images of women in their daily life during the wars against French and American invaders. The contributing artists include Trần Văn Cẩn (1910-1994), Phan Kế An (1923), Huỳnh Văn Thuận (1921) and Nguyễn Tư Nghiêm (1922-2016).

The sketches are part of the Frontline collection, gathering 1,000 sketches made during the wars by 65 famed painters of Việt Nam.

The museum is locates on 66 Nguyễn Thái Học Street. — VNS
