HÀ NỘI — The second much anticipated liveshow by rapper Đen Vâu will take place at Mỹ Đình National Stadium Indoor Athletics Arena on May 27, four years after his first.
The show, entitled Show Của Đen (Đen’s Show), will be held on a larger scale than the previous one. It will feature his hits from the beginning of his career as a rapper as well as many other viral songs.
The show is divided into six ticket categories, and the audience will receive gifts such as hats, bags, and shirts printed with Đen Vâu's logo.
Đen’s Show will also feature many guests who have worked with the rapper since he began his musical career. Like the first show held in HCM City, the rapper will sing with a live band and all the performances will be newly arranged.
Đen said: "I hope that beyond the love and support, music lovers will come to my concert not only for me but also for themselves.
"It would be a day to temporarily put aside the hustle and bustle and to relax the mind that is often stressed with decision-making in life's journey.
"It would also be a day to immerse in harmonious sounds and realise that we are not as alone as we thought, and a day to release energy and restore love for life.”
The artist likened his liveshow to a 'spiritual market' in which he showcases all of his belongings and the audience can take and bring home whatever they need.
“In the symbiotic relationship between the audience and the artist, I have been uplifted and energised many times by the support of my fans. I hope that all of them will show up on that day and take away plenty of joy and happiness.”
The tickets are sold at denvau.vn, ranging in price from VNĐ650,000-2,950,000 (US$28-126).
Đen Vâu held his first live show at the Quân Khu 7 Stadium in HCM City in 2019 to celebrate his 10-year anniversary working in the music industry. The concert created a frenzy as tickets were sold out within eight minutes of going on sale. It was attended by more than 5,000 spectators, featuring special guests such as singer Vũ, Ngọt Band, Lynk Lee, Linh Cáo, and Vietnamese Miss Universe 2017 H’Hen Niê.

Prior to his second liveshow, the rapper released a new music video Nấu Ăn Cho Em (Cooking for You) and announced that all of the profits from this song will be spent on building schools and supporting disadvantaged children in the northern province of Điện Biên.
The music video was filmed when Đen Vâu and his friends visited Mường Chà District where they have collaborated to build a boarding school and cook lunches for local ethnic small students.
Nấu Ăn Cho Em garnered over four million views only after four days of its launch. The rapper has announced that the fund raised has been sufficient to support over 1,000 small children in Điện Biên Province.
He said: “I thought that it would be great if I could write a song then use the profits to take care of the children regularly, so I started writing.
"Luckily, when I visited the children and came back, I had even more emotions to complete the song.
“Growing up in difficult conditions where education, food, and clothing were scarce, I know how terrifying it can be. Those things have a huge impact on the journey of seeking knowledge of these children.”
Rapper Đen Vâu, whose real name is Nguyễn Đức Cường, was born in 1989 in Hạ Long City in the northern province of Quảng Ninh. Before becoming a singer, he used to work as a garbage collector for seven years. He made a name for himself in the music industry with many hits like Đưa Nhau Đi Trốn (Let’s Escape Together) and Đi Theo Bóng Mặt Trời (Following the Sun's Shadow).
In 2022, he became the artist with the most popular music videos on YouTube Vietnam with 15 songs topping the charts. These songs included Anh Đếch Cần Gì Nhiều Ngoài Em (I Don't Need Anything Else But You), Bài Này Chill Phết (This Song Is Pretty Chill), or Trốn Tìm (Hide and Seek). — VNS
