HCM CITY — Hưng Thịnh Corporation has agreed to provide the Việt Nam National University- HCM City (VNUHCM) with VNĐ20 billion (US$864,808) worth of funding for research into big data, AI, blockchain, industrial control technology, new materials, smart solutions, and others.
Hưng Thịnh Technology, a subsidiary of the property giant, and the VNUHCM Development Fund will oversee the work.
VNUHCM is the largest higher education establishment in the country with 36 institutions under it.
The HCM City People’s Committee vice chairman, Dương Anh Đức, said the corporation should also co-operate with VNUHCM to build a hospital for its medical students and provide scholarships to its students. — VNS
