CẦN THƠ New-age carrier Vietjet inaugurated five new routes connecting Cần Thơ with Hải Phòng, Vinh, Thanh Hóa, Nha Trang and Đà Lạt at Cần Thơ International Airport on Saturday.
The inaugural ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and other senior Vietnamese Government officials.
These new routes, which will operate from April 26, help Vietjet become the airline with the most flights to and from Cần Thơ.
Chairwoman of Vietjet Nguyễn Thanh Hà said she believed that the new routes would not only offer traveling opportunities for local people and tourists but also promote foreign exchange and contribute to increasing local investment.
In peak season, the airline operates up to five flights per day to Cần Thơ.
Vietjet and Thai Vietjet – a joint venture with Thai airline Kan Air – have co-operated with many travel agencies to operate flights between Cần Thơ and international destinations.
At the Cần Thơ Investment Promotion Conference in 2018, Vietjet and the municipal People’s Committee signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting trade, aviation, tourism and investment co-operation.
According to Vietjet, the Cần Thơ – Hải Phòng route will operate return flights daily; Cần Thơ – Vinh (Nghệ An Province) route will operate return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday while the Cần Thơ – Thanh Hóa route will operate return flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
The airline will also provide return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on Cần Thơ – Nha Trang (Khánh Hòa Province). Return flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday on Cần Thơ – Nha Trang (Khánh Hòa Province) will be also included. VNS
