Printing, packaging, food processing exhibition opens in HCM City

The annual Việt Nam PrintPack & Foodtech international exhibition which opened in HCM City on August 29 offers networking and promotion opportunities to international firms looking to enter Việt Nam.

HCM CITY – The annual Việt Nam PrintPack & Foodtech international exhibition which opened in HCM City on Wednesday offers networking and promotion opportunities to international firms looking to enter Việt Nam.

Some 380 businesses from 11 countries such as Korea, Việt Nam, China, Japan, and Australia have set up 500 booths.

Many leading businesses are showcasing advanced technologies used in packaging, printing and food processing, machinery and parts, barcode systems, and materials such as printing ink and cardboard.

On August 30 there will be conferences on HCM City’s printing industry and the latest printing solutions.

According to a representative from the Việt Nam Plastic Association, rising demand has propelled the packaging and labelling industry’s annual growth to around 10 per cent.

The four-day exhibition, now in its 17th year, is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Việt Nam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company and Hong Kong-based Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co.Ltd.

Around 15,000 visitors are expected to attend, including delegations of Vietnamese officials and members of printing business associations from Việt Nam and Korea such as the Việt Nam Packaging Association and Korea Packaging Trade Association. – VNS
