CẦN THƠ — Vietnam Airlines will start operating direct flights from Taiwan to CầnThơ and vice versa, said Nguyễn Phúc Điền, head of Vietnam Airlines’ branch in CầnThơ, on Thursday.
The direct flights will be introduced to make it easy for passengers to fly to Việt Nam from Taiwan on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2018.
Vietnam Airlines will operate two flights from Taiwan to CầnThơ and vice versa on Saturday and on Tuesday to bring home more than 200 passengers, mainly Vietnamese workers from CầnThơ and provinces in the Mekong Delta working in Taiwan.
The first flight on Saturday will depart from Taiwan at 6.45am (local time) and land at CầnThơ airport at 9.20am (local time).
The second flight on Tuesday will depart from Taiwan at 10.55pm and land at CầnThơ airport at 1.10am on Wednesday.
Only two return flights from CầnThơ to Taiwan will operate from February 20.
Every year, Vietnam Airlines introduces flights connecting Taiwan and Cần Thơ to serve the Vietnamese people living and working in Taiwan. The flights will help people save time and money in returning to their hometowns for the Lunar New Year festival, Điền said. — VNS
