Jetstar to get preferential prices for int’l routes

The Civil Aviation Administration of Việt Nam (CAAV) has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Transport to apply preferential pricing policies for some international routes of Jetstar Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Aviation Company.

HÀ NỘI — The Civil Aviation Administration of Việt Nam (CAAV) has submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Transport to apply preferential pricing policies for some international routes of Jetstar Pacific Airlines Joint Stock Aviation Company.

According to CAAV’s application, Jetstar Pacific is the first airline to operate flights on the Đồng Hới-Chiang Mai (Thailand) and Đà Nẵng-Osaka (Japan) routes.

To encourage the low-cost airline to maintain and develop these two routes, CAAV has asked for the Ministry of Transport’s petition to apply half of the prescribed rate of aircraft landing and takeoff services, as well as operating costs.

The duration for this preferential application is 24 months from the first flight.

Prior to this, Jetstar Pacific was granted the right to operate the Đồng Hới-Chiang Mai flight, operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with a frequency of two flights per week -- on Mondays and Fridays.

The Đà Nẵng-Osaka route is operated by modern Airbus A320s, with a frequency of four flights per week. — VNS
