BÌNH PHƯỚC – The Republic of Korea (RoK) is the largest investor in the southern Bình Phước Province.

Chairman of the provincial people’s committee Nguyễn Văn Trăm said this at a working session between the committee and a delegation of the Korea Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Kocham), led by RoK Consul General to HCM City Park No-wan, in Bình Phước yesterday.

Trăm said Bình Phước had attracted 81 RoK projects with a total registered capital of US$500 million.

The province would continue to protect Korean firms and investors in the locality, he said.

During the working session, Park said he would help create favourable conditions for Korean investors to study the business environment of Bình Phước.

He said more seminars and dialogues should be held to offer the two countries’ enterprises opportunities to seek partners and promote business co-operation among them.

On the occasion, the RoK delegation gave VNĐ200 million ($9,000) as aid for local residents following the recent drought. - VNS
