QUẢNG NINH — Quảng Ninh OCOP (One Commune One Product) Winter Fair 2022 was an opportunity for businesses and co-operatives to expand consumption markets and export goods through the gates bordering China in Móng Cái City, said Nguyễn Thị Hiền, director of Quảng Ninh Province’s Industry and Commerce Department.

The fair, which officially opened on December 1 in Móng Cái City, attracted more than 1,700 booths introducing over 1,000 OCOP products of 180 businesses and co-operatives from 34 cities and provinces across the country.

This was a practical activity to implement the Campaign "Vietnamese People Use Vietnamese Goods" and "Quảng Ninh People Use Local Services and Goods", Hiền said.

“Quảng Ninh OCOP Winter Fair 2022 was held in Móng Cái city with the aim of creating favorable conditions for businesses inside and outside the province to expand consumption markets and export goods through the border gate in the city,” the director said at the fair's opening ceremony.

“The fair is also an opportunity for people and visitors to experience shopping for quality products, local and regional specialties as gifts for friends, relatives or for personal consumption,” she said.

“The fair will help create a stable and long-term business environment,” she said.

At the fair, there were also exhibitions introducing e-commerce activities and the Quảng Ninh OCOP e-commerce platform in order to promote businesses to apply digital solutions in production and business activities.

The businesses and visitors had chances to access OCOP products and the typical cultural traditions of ethnic groups in Quảng Ninh Province as well as the socio-economic development planning, investment potential and advantages of Móng Cái City.

The five-day fair was a venue for connecting the industrial and commercial activities of Quảng Ninh Province with other provinces and cities in the country and the Chinese market.

Within the framework of this fair, the People's Committee of Quảng Ninh Province on December 2 held a conference to connect and support the export of agricultural and aquatic products to the Chinese market.

The OCOP Fair, which is an annual activity of Quảng Ninh Province, attracts many partners and businesses inside and outside the province.

The province set a target that by the end of this year, all OCOP products would be distributed on e-commerce platforms to help domestic and foreign consumers conveniently buy Quảng Ninh OCOP products anytime and anywhere, Hiền said. — VNS
