Petrol prices soar by over VNĐ1,400 per litre

Retail petrol prices increased by more than VNĐ1,400 per litre from 4 pm on Tuesday, following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

HÀ NỘI — Retail petrol prices increased by more than VNĐ1,400 per litre from 4pm on Tuesday, following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

The retail price of E5RON92 bio-fuel increased VNĐ1,427 to VNĐ23,110 (US$1.02) per litre, while RON95-III fuel rose VNĐ1,459 to a maximum of VNĐ24,338 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel 0.05S and kerosene went up by VNĐ1,171 and VNĐ1,015, reaching VNĐ18,716 and VNĐ17,637 per litre, respectively.

The two ministries review fuel prices every 15 days to keep domestic prices in line with the global market.

Gasoline prices in Việt Nam have increased over time in line with fluctuations in global oil prices. They have risen by about VNĐ6,500 per litre compared to the beginning of this year. — VNS
