HCM CITY — More than 100 food booths are featured at the annual food festival “Taste of the World” scheduled for January 11 to 14 at Lê Văn Tám Park in HCM City’s District 1.
Organised by the city’s Department of Tourism in conjunction with the Việt Nam Tourism Association, the festival attracts participants from many countries, including Denmark, Argentina, Italy and Thailand.
A food court showcasing traditional dishes from south, central and north Việt Nam in a street food space will cater to a variety of local tastes.
Entertainment activities will include đờn ca tài tử (Southern folk music) performances, a cooking show and a talk show.
Nguyễn Thị Ánh Hoa, deputy director of the HCM City Department of Tourism, told Vietnam News Agency that the four-day event, themed “A culinary journey connecting the world” offers connoisseurs an opportunity to delve into the cuisines of different cultures while promoting tourism and friendship among countries. — VNS
