PHÚ YÊN — Thousands of people, especially domestic tourists, have flocked to the central beaches of Phú Yên and Bình Định for the April 30 and May 1 holidays.
Phạm Văn Bảy, deputy director of the Phú Yên Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the province has received some 16,000 visitors, a 10 per cent increase over last year.
All its three- to five-star hotels, with 2,750 rooms, were fully occupied during the period, he revealed.
According to the Bình Định Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, all accommodation, comprising some 3,900 rooms, was fully booked.
Most travellers visited tourist sites in Bình Định such as Trung Lương Beach in Phú Cát District’s Cát Tiến Commune and Eo Gió, Hòn Khô and Kỳ Co beaches in Quy Nhơn city. — VNS
