Vietnamese athletes are working hard to secure a second slot in gymnastics at the coming Olympics in Tokyo this year.
Nguyễn Thành Ngưng has become a familiar name in Việt Nam’s walking scene, having won gold in the men’s 20km event at the National Athletics Championship for the last 11 years. He was also one of the first walkers in Southeast Asia to make it to the Olympics. He spoke with Thanh Nga.
Hoàng, 20, is the only Vietnamese swimmer to have secured two slots to compete in Japan’s event in the men’s 800m freestyle and 1,500m freestyle.
