A team of 23 players have been called up for the national U19 squad for an international tournament which will be held in Nha Trang from March 23-30.

Ten-man Việt Nam kicked off their campaign to qualify for the AFC U16 Championship with a comprehensive 5-2 victory over Cambodia yesterday at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The matches against Australia and hosts Mongolia in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation U16 Championship qualification are important for Việt Nam, Coach Vũ Hồng Việt said.
