Hoàng Anh Gia Lai ink two-year deal with Serbian defender Memovic

HÀ NỘI — Hoàng Anh Gia Lai FC have signed a two-year contract with Damir Memovic, one of the best foreign defenders in the V.League 1.

The Serbian came to Việt Nam last year and played for former champions Sông Lam Nghệ An. He scored one goal in 25 out of 26 matches for the team who kept 11 games clean, a record in the tournament.

Prior to Việt Nam, the 30-year-old used to play in his home country, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Armenia.

Memovic, who is 1.91m tall, is expected to strengthen Hoàng Anh Gia Lai’s defence which conceded 46 goals this year
