HÀ NỘI Nguyễn Thị Thuỳ Linh was knocked out of the women’s singles semi-finals at the Yuzu Indonesia Masters badminton tournament on Saturday in Malang City.

Linh lost to Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand 21-11, 16-21, 21-14 in 54 minutes.

Buranaprasertsuk is the tournament’s No 4 seed and world No 43, while Linh is world N 62 and No 6 seed.

In the final yesterday, Buranaprasertsuk lost to Wang Zhi Yi of China 22-20, 15-21, 13-21.

The event had a total prize fund of US$75,000. VNS
