HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s top male tennis player Lý Hoàng Nam was ousted from the semi-finals of the France F21 Futures tennis tournament on Saturday.

Nam lost to No 2 seed Corentin Denolly of the hosts 3-6, 6-4, 7-9.

Ealier, Nam defeated Christoph Negritu of Germany, world No 514 in the quarter-finals.

For reaching the semi-finals, Nam will receive eight points in the ATP rankings.

Following the event, which offers prize money worth US$25,000, Nam will return home to compete in the Việt Nam F4 Futures - Hải Đăng Cup from October 22 to 28 and the Việt Nam F5 Futures from October 29 to November 4. — VNS
