The National Top Karatedo Clubs Championships opened yesterday in the Central Highland Province of Đắk Lắk.

HÀ NỘI — The National Top Karatedo Clubs Championships opened yesterday in the Central Highland Province of Đắk Lắk.

Nearly 700 martial artists from 57 clubs across the country took part in the event. They will compete for 56 sets of medals in kata (performance) and kumite (combat) in age groups of 12-14, 15-17, over 18 and over 35.

The event, which was organized by the National Sports Administration and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will finish on Saturday.

The tournament’s best players will be selected for the national team to compete in international events. — VNS
