HÀ NỘI — The annual Swing for the Kids 2024 golf tournament will be held on October 12 at the Kings Course and Mountain View of the Kings Island Golf Resort in Đồng Mô, Sơn Tây Town, Hà Nội.

Nearly 300 golfers will participate in the event with all of their registration fee used for charity purposes.

At the 17th edition event, competitors will vie for huge bonuses including billions-of-đồng Hole-in One awards along with many other valuable bonuses.

At the awarding ceremony, the organisers will present five scholarships worth VNĐ10 million (US$40) each to outstanding students of the University of Transport and Communication and Institute of Policy and Development.

Former Minister of Planning and Investment and president of the tournament Võ Hồng Phúc presents certificates of scholarships to students.

Poor students with high studying results in the localities which were strongly affected by recent Typhoon Yagi will also receive support from the organising committee.

After 16 years, Vietnam Investment Review, founder and organiser of the tournament, has mobilised more than VNĐ22 billion and delivered more than 21,000 scholarships to poor students and assisted to repair and upgrade studying facilities in 40 provinces and cities across the country. — VNS
