Plastic facility fire claims one life

HÀ NỘI — A devastating fire broke out on Saturday at a plastic recycling facility in Hoài Đức District, Hà Nội, resulting in one fatality.

The blaze erupted around 4.25am and quickly engulfed the facility, a 500 sq.m single-story structure with a steel frame and tin roof.

The abundance of combustible materials fuelled the raging inferno, producing toxic fumes and threatening to consume nearby factories and warehouses.

Firefighters battled the flames for about an hour before bringing the situation under control. Unfortunately, one person lost their life in the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. — VNS
