QUẢNG NINH — Leaders of Móng Cái City in the northern border province of Quảng Ninh and the Ministry of Health on Friday received 800,000 doses of Sinopharm’s COVID-19 vaccine Vero Cell, an ECMO machine and medical equipment and supplies donated by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China.
The handover of the vaccines and medical equipment took place on Bắc Luân II Bridge at Móng Cái (Việt Nam) – Dongxing (China) International Border Gate.
The vaccines and medical equipment and supplies, worth CNY62.55 million (about US$9.7 million) in total, will be allocated to the northern provinces of Quảng Ninh, Lạng Sơn, Cao Bằng, and Hà Giang which share a border and close cooperative ties with Guangxi.
Since the pandemic broke out, Quảng Ninh Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have made donations of medical supplies to and supported each other in the fight against COVID-19. — VNS
